Feliz Turkey!

Happy Turkey Day, sports fans!
We've had a busy month up here- can't wait for a little r & r!

First, Lilly is a turbo! She is crawling everywhere and pulls herself up to stand all the time. She's becoming quite accomplished and quite fast! Her new sound is "Ba Ba" and she learned to wave, although she's pretty fickle about who she waves to. She's a little shy with new faces, and a little irritated that her toys and Hydro don't wave back (Hydro thinks she's hiding a treat).
Speaking of Hydro, we've had an emotional few weeks with him...we found out a couple weeks ago that he has cancer, and there isn't much we can do for him. We decided against chemo, and it began growing like wildfire. I mean, literally changing by the hour. The largest lump is on his neck, and this week it got to the point where his face and neck had almost tripled, and he couldn't close his lips they were so swollen. It was awful. We were making plans to put him down when we decided to try a steroid to see if that would make him more comfortable. . . wouldn't you know, ONE DOSE of prednisone and his tumor went down by 60%! Two days later and he looks normal again, and we're cautiously happy. We don't want this drug to damage him, but we want him to be comfortable for as long as we have him. It's doubtful that he'll see spring again, from what I hear.
All that said, we had some family photos done (since the tumor/swelling was down) to document our little family's life together...enjoy!
