Today has been brought to you by the letters H & M...

H is for Holy Cow we have a HOUSE!!!
M is for Muddiest place I've ever seen.

Okay, this post is going to have a bunch of pictures, so I'll keep the chatting to a minimum. The house was put on via crane on Thursday, and God really blessed us with great weather. Very cold, but the wind and rain held off until Friday night (hence the mud) and we now have a house. No heat, electric or water yet, but a house nonetheless!

This is the front and back of the house.

My kitchen! Yes, I'm obsessed.

Dining Room * Living room (supports will come down) * Laundry room

Other side of family room * 1 side of master bedroom* and the other. (again, posts come down.
Those are the big rooms, then there is our master bath (his on one side, hers on the other with a walk through closet in between, and the kids rooms, with a main bath in between. But they're tough to take pictures of.

This is taken from our room, through our front hallway, and the second is what you see when you open our front door. In short, we are some very blessed people!! As things progress and are finished (like siding, etc. ) I'll take more pictures, but not as many as this post. We're so excited. Thanks for all your prayers, love and support! Please pray that we move in before Thanksgiving!!

It's a Girl! It's a House! It's Superman!

IT'S A GIRL!!
We found out this morning at our ultrasound that we have a little girl on the way in March! Chris is still coming to grips with having a girl, but we both agree that just the sight of our little one's beating heart was joyous enough. For me, it was just a relief to see her in there, wriggling around. What a gift. I'm posting pictures of our pictures, so they aren't great, but until I get my hands on a scanner that works, this will do.
The top pic is a profile of her sucking her thumb.
This is her face, and her left hook, which she has put to use lately.
IT'S A HOUSE!!
In other news, Chris flew out of the doctor's office to meet our house. Wow. It's bigger than I remembered. They did a lot of work to get it up our hill, but my hard-working Superman (that's Chris) pulled it off! As a side note, I will say that it's a bit unsettling to get a voicemail from Brett saying, "Mimi, your house is STUCK! But Chris is getting the bulldozer and he's gonna PULL IT OUT!!" Needless to say I was jealous of Brett getting to be there and me stuck at work. Here are a few pics- stay tuned for pics on Friday night of the house, ON the foundation! WHOO HOO! The first pic is the house trying to make the swing (it didn't, though, and Chris pulled it out. The second pic is one half of the house . Once the two pieces are together and the roof is on, you'll get the big picture. Right now it just looks like a trailor. And the last pic is a preview of my kitchen!!!

Maybe this will help...

Taking a cue from my dear friend Courtney, I've decided to just make a little website to post pictures of progress and updates on what's happening, and anyone can visit whenever they'd like. How about that? No more downloading humungous emails! With so many things going on ( new house, new baby on the way) there will be a lot to update over then next several months! So stay tuned here and visit often in the next month or so to see the house arrive, find out if it's a boy or girl we're expecting this spring, see embarassing pictures of me pregnant, etc!! For now, I'll post the most recent pics, just in case you didn't want to wait 3 or so hours for the email to finish downloading. :) This picture of Hydro has the foundation and the pond in the background. It's taken from up behind the house.
This is the pond that Chris built behind the home site...so this will be the view out the back of the house (dining room, kitchen and living room).

It's true- I'm pregnant. And finally starting to show. This is our new basement, which I'm sure the bambino will learn to ride a bike in- It's 27.5' deep by 76' wide! I've assured Chris that there will still be room for all his deer mounts!

And this will be the view from our front door (sorry it's a little dark) but you get the idea...the house will be at the top of our hill, and we'll have a great view. I get this trait from Mom- always a sucker for a great view! Chris loved the land, (it's 26 acres and even has a creek) and I love the view.
